You Cannot Pour From an Empty Cup

It has been exactly one month since I have been away not only from the salon, but from CREATING since I have started my career. So you can only imagine my excitement to be back today!

Being away from work when you adore what you do can feel like an absolute eternity! It’s like being trapped in a mundane void while your creative spirit screams for liberation. Every passing moment is a reminder of the potential brilliance that awaits. Inspiration swirls in my mind yearning to dive back into this realm, where passion ignites, and innovation thrives.

We are not just artists…..We are storytellers. Through our craft, we weave tales of self-expression, individuality and empowerment. We touch lives, boost confidence, and bring out the beauty that lies within each person who sits in our chair.

As artists, we have a unique ability to be givers in this world. Through our creative expressions, we offer a piece of ourselves to others, sharing our thoughts, emotions, and perspectives in a way that can deeply resonate with those who experience our art. Whether it is through visual arts, music, writing, or any other form of artistic expression, we have the power to touch people’s lives and inspire their imagination.

However, it is equally important for us as artists to remember that we cannot pour from an empty cup. Taking breaks and stepping away from our creative pursuits is crucial for replenishing our inspiration and maintaining our artistic longevity.
These pauses allow us to recharge, explore new experiences, and gain fresh perspectives that can breathe new life into our work. By embracing these moments of rest, we give ourselves the chance to rediscover our passion, reignite our creativity, and ultimately continue sharing our gifts with the world in a truly meaningful way.

As I step back into the salon, I am reminded of the transformative power of art. Each stroke of the brush, each snip of the scissors, is an opportunity to bring beauty into the world, to make someone feel seen and heard, and to create a lasting impact. And I am grateful for the privilege to be a part of that process.
I am coming back stronger than ever and have so many thoughts, ideas & inspiration to show you. Who’s ready?!!!

Let me tell you…my artistic heart is very happy. 🥹♥️
